It’s difficult wearing a state that has disappointed and hurt you too many times. This awkward ring was a way to process and grieve the loss of hope. “Despair” has bursted holes in the ring creating texture from the tearing and shriveling. The use of hido patina creates a red finish on the piece to ultimately show, I am burnt out.
