This necklace utilizes my Spotify Wrapped to explore the data art process. Rihanna has been ranked 1st out of the top 5 musicians I have listened to consistently since 2018. This necklace celebrates how her music provides me with joy and medicine. The visual documentation is represented via the boots. Each boot lists the year on the back in roman numerals and varies by color and size. The variables collected were the amount of her songs in each playlist of the corresponding year (that Spotify creates) until 2024. Then, these variables were paired to specific size/color categories. 

An extra touch are the four most attentive songs in all the playlists, stitched onto the back of the necklace. These four songs utilized the typeface I have designed – it was included in my show label for draggin the world.

• 7 songs - 1 inch - Maroon

• 8 songs are not represented in the data taken, therefore there isn’t a 2 inch boot

• 9 songs - 3 inches - Teal

• 10 songs - 4 inches - Yellow

• 11 songs - 5 inches - Green

• 12 songs - 6 inches - Purple
